STM ABRE INSCRIÇÕES PARA O ENCONTRO DA JMU COM A
COMISSÃO E A CORTE INTERAMERICANA DE DIREITOS HUMANOS

A partir de 10 de novembro estarão abertas as inscrições para oEncontro da Justiça Militar da União com a Comissão e a Corte Interamericana de Direitos Humanos, cujo tema será“Uma discussão sobre o papel das Justiças Militares no Sistema Interamericano de Direitos Humanos”.

Este evento inédito está sob a coordenação da Ministra-Presidente do Superior Tribunal Militar Drª Maria Elizabeth Guimarães Teixeira Rocha, e acontecerá em sua sede, no período de 9 a 12 de fevereiro de 2015.

O destaque do Encontro está em reunir os membros do Sistema Interamericano de Proteção dos Direitos Humanos (SIPDH), composto pela Corte e pela Comissão IDH, debatendo o tema das Justiças Militares e os Direitos Humanos, junto a renomados catedráticos, diplomatas e magistrados.

A Corte IDH, sediada em São José da Costa Rica, é um órgão judicial internacional autônomo, da Organização dos Estados Americanos (OEA), criado pela Convenção Americana de Direitos Humanos (Pacto San José da Costa Rica), que tem competência de caráter contencioso e consultivo.

A Comissão IDH (CIDH), com sede em Washington, D.C., é um órgão autônomo da OEA integrado por sete membros independentes, cuja finalidade é a promoção e a proteção dos direitos humanos no continente americano.
